Signs of a heart attack

1 min read
Heart disease is a leading cause of death in the United States. Unfortunately many people don’t realize that the signs and symptoms can be very subtle at times.

Symptoms include:

• Chest discomfort (often a tightness or squeezing sensation)
• Pain in the arms
• Trouble breathing
• Feeling weak
• Throat discomfort
• Nausea and indigestion
In certain patients like woman or those who are diabetic, the symptoms can be even more subtle. This has been termed “silent heart attack” because it doesn’t always have the classic presentation.
If you experience any of the symptoms or “don’t feel right”, call your doctor or go to the ER to be evaluated...it very well may save your life.
