Reducing the spread of corona virus
It’s known that coronavirus requires exposure to affected individuals. As a general rule, anyone within 6 feet of you and has the virus may be able to transmit the virus via respiratory droplets in the air.
But what about the things they might have touched? Is that a way to transmit the virus?
There is evidence that the corona virus can be present and transmitable through common surfaces for hours or even days.
Common surfaces include: handles such as doorknobs, light switches, and toilets; flat surfaces likely to be touched such as tables, desks, and counters.
Cleaning and disinfecting these areas regularly with household cleaning products and EPA registered disinfectants can reduce the chance of transmission.
