A bit of caution for Coronavirus
It’s a common virus that affects many people at sometime or another. Typically, it affects the upper respiratory system.
It can become airborne and transmitted through coughing and sneezing.
It may also be transmitted through close physical contact.
The best prevention is handwashing, not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth, and avoiding close contact with others who have the virus.
There is a variant of the coronavirus called “middle east respiratory syndrome“. ￼
It can cause a common cold or severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
Cases have been reported in 27 countries, as of January 2019.
Of all reported cases, 80% are within Saudi Arabia￼.
Currently, no vaccines are available although several are in development.￼
To reduce your risk, wash your hands after visiting places with animals and do not consume raw or undercooked animal products… Including milk and meat.￼
